ATTN: Since our little abandoned drive-in here is out in the middle of Death Valley near the California desert, we are smack dab in the middle of our summer storm season. This means that occassional thunder storms could occur without warning, which may cause us to have to temporarily go off the air at any given moment. We will do our best to stay on the air 24 / 7 but if you happen to tune in during a time span that we're down due to a storm (or other uncontrollable circumstance), please do bear with us and check back shortly as we'll be back on the air as soon as possible.
We discovered that SBC changed our ISP number without telling us. So if you had us bookmarked directly through Winamp or another player that connects directly to our ISP, our new "direct tune in" address is: http://98.148.131.88:8000/listen.pls or you can tune in using the link on our HOME PAGE.
It's been brought to our attention that occassionally on C.R.A.G.G. AND also on other .mp3 Shoutcast mp3 streaming internet stations, when listening through Winamp, sometimes the stream will seem to play at the wrong speed. The audio will either sound like it's being played too slow like a record being played at the wrong speed, or it will sound too fast like a cassette that's being fast forwarded. This occurance has been reported to happen on a number of other stations but it only happens occassionally. Since this occurs on multiple stations, it is assumed that this is a flaw on Winamp's end.
The simple fix is to just click the stop button on your player and then click start again. This fix will cause the stream to go back to playing at the normal speed.
We've been getting some reports of listeners who are using Firefox or the older Internet Explorer version having trouble listening using our embedded streaming station player (windows media bar). This embedded player is seen on pages such as our "stream us" page and on our myspace page. To fix this, we suggest upgrading to the new Internet Explorer 7 as this is the most updated version and it may be the only version that the embedded player works with.
